Desimone's job is complex in many ways. Each project is unique and requires substantial investment. Solution architecture, technical drawing, creation of the machine, testing, fine tuning and installation at the customer. All within a fixed budget for the client. Project coordinators have an important responsibility in monitoring their budget. The current management system no longer meets the expectations of project managers and no longer meets current technical standards.
Solution
The solution mainly concerns the financial monitoring of projects. At any time, the project manager has a dashboard with the status of his project. The budget, the amount committed (purchase orders) and the consumption. The time worked by the workers on the project tasks, the hours of engineering, the materials used and the purchases specific to the project are recorded in real time.
Results
The new system was put in place in less than 5 months with the billing, project monitoring, purchasing and inventory management processes.
